The heat and humidity of the monsoon season can cause sweating, friction, and infections, all of which are known to cause psoriasis flares. Use Dr. JRK's 777 Oil before bathing and Psorolin Oil after bathing to keep your skin calm and hydrated and moisturized. Also, wear right clothes and practice good hygiene to reduce flare triggers.
Why psoriasis might flare up during the monsoon
Sweat and friction: Sweat that builds up under clothes, backpacks or in the skin creases can make plaques worse and cause inverse psoriasis to flare up.
Some people feel worse in warm, humid climates, while others get worse from sunburn or spending too much time in dry, air-conditioned environments.
Infections: Throat and skin infections can happen before flares, so make sure to take care of cuts, insect bites, and athlete's foot very away.
777 Oil before your bath and Psorolin Oil after your bath are two layers of your routine.
JRK suggests a basic, regular routine that works well in the monsoon:
Before the bath (morning): 777 Oil on skin and scalp
Apply Dr. JRK's 777 Oil over your body and scalp. (Optional: 10–15 minutes of short, reasonable sunshine.) Use a mild, suitable soap or cleaner when you bathe.
JRK markets 777 Oil as a clinically validated psoriasis treatment that helps lift scales and lowers inflammation, which helps keep the disease in remission for longer.
Psorolin Oil on plaques after a bath (targeted)
Dry the skin. Apply Psorolin Oil on the afflicted regions and let it soak in for 2–3 minutes. JRK usually adds an ointment layer to this, but if you're keeping it light in monsoon, just use oil and sun care.
Psorolin Oil is made from Wrightia tinctoria, Indigofera tinctoria, and Indigofera aspalathoides. JRK states that it can help manage scaling by slowing down the growth of keratinocytes.
The pre-bath oil softens scales and protects against over-cleansing, while the post-bath oil keeps you comfortable without making you feel heavy. Use thin layers so that sweat can evaporate.
Small improvements that make a significant difference in comfort during the monsoon
• Keep your skin cool and dry by quickly changing out of wet garments and bringing a spare tee or scarf. Choose cotton that can breathe and stay away from plaques with tight seams.
• Take care of your sweat zones: After an exercise or a long drive, rinse and carefully pat dry your armpits, groin, under-breast, and scalp margins. A brief cold blow-dry (not hot) can help keep them from getting too wet.
• Sun safety (but avoid burns): Short, sensible exposure to sunlight may assist, but sunburn is a key trigger—use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ on skin that isn't covered.
• Being conscious of AC: Air conditioning can dry up your skin, so make sure to moisturize shortly after you shower and again if you spend all day inside.
• Watch for infections: Treat sore throats, athlete's foot, and intertrigo right away; infections sometimes come before flares.
"Light but right" tips for rainy weather
Pick soft cleansers and stay away from scrubbing too hard. Too much cleaning and sweating can make your skin angry.
In humid temperatures, lighter oil films are more comfortable. Instead of putting on a thick coat, put on small amounts to heated places.
Scalp care: After wearing a helmet or hoodie, rinse your hair and scalp to keep them dry between showers. This will help decrease irritation and flake build-up.

A sample day plan during the monsoon season
In the morning, put a thin coating of 777 Oil on your skin, then a short, optional safe sunbath, then a lukewarm bath, and finally pat dry.
At noon, if you've been in AC or become sweaty, rinse off important areas, pat them dry, and put a small layer of Psorolin Oil back on only where it's needed.
Evening: Take a cool shower after work and pat yourself dry. If your skin feels tight, only put a little bit back on the plaques. Sleep in cotton that breathes.
When to see your dermatologist
Quick spread, severe redness and pain, and symptoms of infection (fever, oozing)
New discomfort or swelling in the joints (possible psoriatic arthritis)
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have other long-term health problems, you may need to change your daily routine.
